We are currently closed during the festive period, as it is such a quiet time for us on our hideaway street! But in the mean time the bake-a-boo fairies are looking after the shop for us. They are all pretty special to me, in fact the first fairy here has been with us since day one, she was a gift when we opened the shop and has hung from the chandelier ever since, although she did tragically loose her legs, she lost none of her power......and yes I do believe in fairies! Happy new year everybody from us and them x

pretty postcards
This is a gorgeous photo that my very talented sister took of some of our mini cupcakes. She always takes beautful photos, not just of our cakes, but of everything. She captures many precious moments through her lense and I only wish I could take photographs like her, but I make cakes and that's my thing I guess?
Anyway I am telling you this as we are now selling this image on postacrds in the shop, and hopefully many more.
In the meantime, please check out my sister's Etsy shop where she is selling some of her wonderful postcards here

Cakes, Prizes and Christmas fairs....
Catch me this Saturday afternoon at the Beckford school Christmas fair, where I will be judging the cake competition! How funny is that?! Beckford school is one of my favourite places in the world and somewhere that is very close to my heart (as well as being very close to my shop) many of our lovely customers are Beckford mummies (and daddies), but also I used to be a pupil there, and both my first and last days at Beckford are still vivid memories, and I can honestly say that I had the most fabulous time there, even though it was school, and I guess that's saying something!! I judged the competition last year and took my sidekick Leon (our sconemaster) along to help me, and we found it so hard to choose the winners.
Happy baking to all the kids and mummies who are involved - good luck!! xxx
ps. It's also Emmanuel school's (also on Mill Lane) Christmas fair on Saturday, and we have donated prizes to both fairs, so we look forward to seeing the winners at bake-a-boo soon x

3 is the magic number....
On Monday the 16th of November it is bake-a-boo's 3rd birthday, but we like to milk it, so we're celebrating in the shop all weekend, and we want to give something back to you for all your loyal support over the last three years, so we've hidden some number 3 stickers around - under plates and saucers and if you get one under yours you will be able to choose a prize. We've also put some under our cupcakes and if you find one under yours you will be able to choose another of the same cupcake for free. Come and celebrate with us.........from today until close on Monday xx

Pictures of Jonathan & catherine's vegan wedding cupcakes
Here's some pictures that Jonathan & Catherine sent us of the vegan cupcakes we made for their wedding in September. They had vegan chocolate and coffee cupcakes in gold and silver cases, topped with cream and orange icings to match their flowers and topped with daisies in orange and cream. Then they had a cutting cake for the top which was a vegan fruit cake. Thank you Jonathan and Catherine for sending through these great pics and for the lovely card you sent us too. Congratulations! x

Here's a halloween themed birthday party we had for Connie, on halloween, at bake-a-boo. Connie and her gang decorated some spooky cupcakes in a cupcake decorating workshop followed by a halloween tea of spooky sandwiches, slimy jelly, cat and bat cookies and much more treats, followed by a birthday cake decorated to look like a pumpkin and of course spooky party bags for all the girls. Happy Birthday Connie xx

Love is in the air....
Just a quick note to say congratulations to our very own team Boo-er Leon (AKA Our scone master) who got engaged this weekend to the equally fabulous and utterly gorgeous Vanessa (can you tell that I love her too!!??) Leon got down on one knee at Kings Cross station (there is a reason behind this) and then off they went (much to Vanessa's suprise) to Paris for the weekend. Congratulations to my two favourite drama queens! Huge love from all at the Boo xx

Congratulations Purni, the bake-a-boo girls think you look gorgeous in your dress!! We wish you and Sharm all the best for your furture together....may it be filled with happiness and cupcakes!!! xx

Goldie's Hen party tea at bake-a-boo
This weekend we celebrated Goldie's hen party at bake-a-boo. The girls had afternoon tea with a few extras, and goldies friends brought lots of things to add to the fun. Perhaps the funniest 'extra' was the fact that after we closed Goldie and co stayed a little bit longer....waiting for the arrival of a very special guest!! A man dressed as a police man arrived, but he was no ordinary policeman!! He was a STRIPPER!! I can't believe we had a stripper at bake-a-boo! It was very amusing, and the squealing of the girls and chanting 'off off off off' was even more hilarious! It was very 'un' bake-a-boo, but gave us something to giggle about, although I was probably more concerned about my chandeliers than looking at him, when he started swinging his shirt around the place! Typical me, but we had a laugh and Goldie and her girls were all so lovely. Congratulations Goldie xxx
The special guest....

1st birthday party at bake-a-boo for Iris
Here's some pictures of a 1st birthday party we had at bake-a-boo for little Iris. The party had exclusive hire of bake-a-boo on a Sunday morning so the little'uns could have free reign. Guests drank tea and coffee, and some champagne to toast Iris, whilst nibbling finger sandwiches, salads, mini pitta pizzas and lots of mini cakes and scones - as well as Iris's giant cupcake birthday cake. Happy Birthday Iris xx
